Not Good
I got maybe 2 hours of use and the darn thing was sticking the "hole" time. Finally just fell apart in my hands. I returned it for the more expensive model.

Broke on the first use
Had purchased one previously that worked well for many years. That one recently broke so I thought I would try this one. It broke on the same day that it was delivered. Now have to go through the hassle of returning it. I would give it a "0" if I could.

Didn't last long
We purchased this on 7/2/2024 and it is now 7/19/2024. It is broken and we have requested a refund. It feels heavy weight and I thought it was good quality but clearly that is not the case. The "spring mechanism" is shot. I am very disappointed.

Poor quality & duration of use
Second purchase of same product. Both broke after a couple of uses. Returning the pricey product & won't purchase again. You'd think that being all metal components, that it would last!

McGill hand held punch
Received the first slot punch. Tried to use it and the punch would not move back up (item stuck in hole punch) and the handle felt broken. (very loose) I returned it and ordered a second one and this one did the same thing. I'm thinking this item is total junk

Doesn't stay secure in the spot you need.
Doesn't stay secure in the spot you need, no guides to set for consistency. I had to use a black marker to indicate where the tab needed to stay. I would have chosen something different however this was the one that LOOKED to be acceptable.

Badge Hole punch
Having no guide makes it difficult to use this device. As a result we have wasted badges for which the hole did not successfully get finished. We have since ordered a different device which we are waiting to received.

Not a good tool
I used this because I have a lot of oval shape holes to punch in workers badges and it broke on me and kept getting stuck. does not go through plastic well at all. do not recommend buying this item. too expensive and broke after the second day of use.

McGill Hand Held badge punch
Received this slot punch on 12/17/2018. Today 2/28/19, it the punch would not retract and the badge was stuck. Tried to get the punch to retract. The handle moved up and down, but the punch would not move back up.

Not sturdy
I was not happy with the depth gauge adjustment. It moves too easily which would cause the IDs to be punched in the wrong place

Handheld Badge Punch
This punch works extremely well with little effort. The punch guard stop is very flimsy though and moves as soon as you put a card into the punch, so you have to be careful to watch where you're actually punching the card.

Nice punch, easy to use...but major flaw in the punch guard stop.
Nice punch, and I liked that it wasn't too difficult to press down with my weaker hands. However, one serious flaw is that the punch guard stop did not stay where I placed it, so when I inserted badge, it slipped all the way to the end, which would have punched it too far down from the top edge of our employee badges.
