Why won't Canon let us see into the Inkwell?
The 5 stars are for Staples great selection and price comparable to online pricing. 1 star for the ink. The tanks run out so fast now. Just how much ink is really in there? Aftermarket ink tanks have clear ink wells, so you can see how much ink is in there, but Canons are dark black so it's anyone's guess just what's inside. not worth it
Box says 11.4ml and the regular cartridge is 5.6ml. That is not in the product detail online. There may be some fixed wastage but the arithmetic based on ink volume suggests that regular cartridge is better value!

High yield ink cartridge
Good, high-contrast ink in a high yield cartridge - though it still doesn't last as long as I want it to! This size surprisingly worked out more cost-effective than the XXL size, though I'm guessing that isn't always the case.

Get the correct cartridge at the first time. Save gas & trip.
My printer require and accept cartridge numbered 251 BK XL.
So I had to go back to Staples to get the correct cartridge.
Everything else was fine. I got the accustomed, polite, prompt, helpful treatment from the gentleman at the desk.

It gives a great quality picture but I also love the Canon printer app because it tells me how low my ink is, so I get to go to Staples and buy it!

Felt like I was being called a thief
I bought this ink cartridge in January. My receipt is on my rewards card and the ink doesn't work. I tried to return the ink and brought it back to Staples on Bald Hill Rd in Warwick, RI. The recipe shows a Pixma281 and my cartridge is a PIXMA 280. I have no idea why it is different, but it was. The manager was respectful, but I wasn't mistaken, as he insisted. So ...
