Why won't Canon let us see into the Inkwell?
The 5 stars are for Staples great selection and price comparable to online pricing. 1 star for the ink. The tanks run out so fast now. Just how much ink is really in there? Aftermarket ink tanks have clear ink wells, so you can see how much ink is in there, but Canons are dark black so it's anyone's guess just what's inside. not worth it
Box says 11.4ml and the regular cartridge is 5.6ml. That is not in the product detail online. There may be some fixed wastage but the arithmetic based on ink volume suggests that regular cartridge is better value!

Bab Delivery
The Box containing the ink was found off the porch near the neighbor's fence. The box with the ink cartridge was too light and just blew away. We were lucky to find it. We don't know where the package was placed when delivered but this was not a good delivery experience.

It turned out to be the right cartridge
I wasn't sure if it was the correct one when I ordered it but other places had this cartridge on backorder and Staples had it in stock. It arrived quickly and worked great.

Half full after a few days.
I bought this ink and within a few days the tank was half full after normal usage. I've used this ink a long time and it last a long time. I bought it from another store before. Perhaps it was old.

leaked
It was either this black or photo black that leaked in our Canon printer. I could not tell why this happened as nothing unusual occurred prior to the leak. We cleaned it up and sent a few pages through one at a time that eventually cleared out the ink but the cartridge was 75% empty after that. Hoping it doesn't happen again.

Canon cartages have less ink than 3rd party
I weigh cartridges before and after use. Canon cartages have less ink than 3rd party replacements. I buy the Canon brand only to keep my recycle rewards operating.
