Use of TRU RED™ Reinforced File Pocket, 1.75" Expansion, Letter Size
I use them to store magazines for reference and depending on the magazine size I can get 1 year's worth of magazines in a folder. The 3-1/2 inch size are too big in many cases.

Works as expected
We use them inside of the hanging folders for separating our mail. The enclosed pocket keeps all the letters from falling out of the sides of the hanger folders on the mail cart.

Its great how they expand, and allow me to store a lot of papers in them. We use these for our customer files.

1 3/4” is a good size for stuff too bulky to place in a regular file folder. Durable accordion folds seem to hold up well versus a single fold.

Try these s-p-a-c-e savers
I have now replaced all of those nuisance hanging files with Staples Expanding File Pockets (1-3/4"). These file pockets are narrower and sturdier (can stand up by themselves). They are capable of holding several file folders, booklets, etc. At a time when office space is at a premium, why buy another file cabinet if you can gain space by adding Expanding File Pocket...

Boring color!
I ordered those Staples expanding pocket folders because Smead folders were not available at the time of purchase. I like the colorful Smead folders.
