Perfect Labels!
These file labels are perfect for us. They cover anything (we are a school so we recycle everthing! so we can save money and reuse file folders and hanging folders again and again. They stay on, and don't peel off until you are ready. Labels that peel can be a nightmare if you have thousands of files as we do. Great product, thanks Avery!

Don't Stick
I have been using these labels for years, it seems to me that they have lost there ability to stick shortly after putting it on the file folder. The claim is that this is a PERMANENT folder label but that doesn't seem to be the case. I have to stick tape on the edge to hold label on the folder.

nice looking labels
They look nice. They just don't stick to manilla file folders. We have to staple them on.

Avery File Folder Labels - letter size sheets
I changed from the 4x6 sheet size labels to the letter size sheets. Much easier to run through printers that don't offer several different size feeders.

File Folder Labels - to answer questions
Even if they stick at first, over years they will fall off. When making the folder, I use 3M/Scotch Clear Shipping Tape to cover them. Someone also asked about a template, and Microsoft Word has built in templates - just click on the Mailings tab > Labels and you can choose from many templates and then save the Word document to use over and over. These Labels seem exactly the same as the cheaper version, Not sure about what the Trueblock is for. What I did like is that they are on full size sheets of paper, Easy to load, Easy to print.

I have a bunch of these kinds of labels but no longer have a need for them as the color strip isn't in the place that I need it to be for my filing. Overall they work fine, except they do need a label cover over them to make sure they don't fall off.

Stays stuck forever (so far)
We started using these about 16 years ago and the first file labels are still on those old files. I have seen other brands start peeling off after a few years, which is why we always order Avery. Great product!

I don't like the new TrueBlock
I used over 200 of these labels for an archive project and ALL of them began to fall off the folders the next day. I'm not sure if it is the new TrueBlock technology but I was very disappointed especially since I like Avery Labels. Will not use this again!
