pencil is sharp but the wood is part of the point
Either the sharpener does a poor job or staples pencils are not centered. The point is both wood and lead. So you cant write with the pencil because the wood is ripping the paper.

Would not sharpen more than 4-5 pencils
Must have been a factory dud. Stopped working after sharping 4-5 pencils. Had to unplug it, wait for it to cool off and then it would work slowly and stop working again.

Keeps things tidy
The Bostitch Office quiet sharp heavy duty electric pencil sharpener live up to all that is advertised. For me and us using it in our home is the tidiness of my kids not having to used a handheld pencil sharpener over the trash. Half the time they don’t get all the pencil flakes in to the trash can. This pencil sharpener works so well and it is so quiet you wouldn’t even notice it was being used. It sharpened both regular pencils and colored pencils without any problems and left the points super sharp. It doesn’t take up too much space so that’s a huge plus. Works great!
I received this from influenster to test. The first day I received this product, I tried it out and sharpened ALL the pencils and coloring pencils I own. Noise level is very minimal and sharpens the pencils well!

AMAZING
My best friend is a teacher so this was a great gift! It is so much quieter and so quick! Her kids use it all the time and she said she would be buying another one for back up!!

Low noise, works great!
My daughter loved using this sharpener and sharpened an entire package of pencils in 1-2 minutes. Keeps the shavings neatly in a pull out container and doesn’t sound like a freight train while sharpening, I love the low noise aspect of it.

A wonderful sharpener!
This pencil sharpener is everything I needed! Between the quietness and the quick sharpening, it is so great! It sharpens so fast and is able to sharpen a variety of pencils.

Quiet Pencil Sharpener!
This is a great addition to a teacher’s classroom, a desk for work or many other uses. I highly recommend this product as it is efficient while being quiet.

Quiet Sharpening
This sharpener does a great job at sharpening pencils. It even changes the sound it makes when the pencil is almost done and should be pulled out so, it alleviates sharpening too long and breaking the point. Finicky pencil sharpener.
This pencil sharpener is very finicky. The pencil points often break off inside the sharpener and then the next pencil can't trigger the sharpening mechanism. Very frustrating. I will be returning this one.
