Great machine
It is as close as I could get to a Ti5550, I was worried that I would have problems acclimating after using the Ti for so many year. But, I am very happy with the Sharp EL-2196BL.

Smooth & Classy Calculator
Love this new machine. It's quiet, has useful functions and looks very classy. Compared to my old Canon, it's the difference between a Mercedes and a Volkswagon.

Our office uses our calculator a lot. We had this same calculator for about 10 years and it just gave out. This calculator is by far very dependable. We would not use any other brand.

Great Adding Machine
We use these adding machines throughout our entire office, our oldest machine just recently needed to be replaced because the light had become so dim you couldn't read it and it is YEARS old.

One Year later will not turn on
I have had this calculator for One Year and three months. Came into work this morning and it will not turn on. Obviously not reliable. I liked the calculator, but it is not reliable.

Love Sharp products but not this one
I have used Sharp adding machines for years. This is the 2nd time that I have purchased this model. This one seems to be a cheaper made version. I have only had it about a year, and I have constant trouble with moving the decimal point around. And I have to reset it quite often. Sometimes more than once per day. Disappointed. It is a shame because I had the previous one...

Nice calculator - too expensive.
This is a very nice calculator, however it too pricey. The Casio and cheaper and works just as well, sorry they no longer carry them.

Pleasantly silent,
I have an older clunkier version of this and ordered the same model for my boss and upon setup I noticed it is way more silent than mine. I might order one for myself in a couple of months and keep the noisier one as a backup. The buttons are smooth and the tape prints well. I only wish it was more compact, but I already knew what I was ordering.
