VERY DISAPPOINTED
If you are looking for a mat that will have a stable surface over a deep pile carpet, I highly suggest that you look somewhere else because after much time studying the catalog Staples offers, this was the best I could identify and it is inadequate.

Good price
A fair price, but it seems to be not as stiff as some of the old worn ones in the office. Time will tell, but wasn’t a wallet buster, which was nice.

Carpet chair mat application
Having purchased the thinner mat previously which only lasted a couple months, this mat seams to be more of the “medium” grade quality and should outlast the thinner product by several months.
This mat is of great quality and considering the total combined weight of user and chair is approximately 200 lbs, it appears to have great lifespan potential.

Cracking
Began cracking at 6 months, continued to worsen until it was unusable at 9 months. Shortest-lived mat I've ever had, by far. Will not buy one of these from Staples again. With their return policy, I'm stuck with the loss.

Soft Plastic & Scratched
If I didn't need a mat right now to cover my carpet this would go back. I only weigh 105 and when I step on it, there are indentations. My chair is already indenting the mat. I had the smaller version previously, and it was nothing like this. In addition, it was delivered scratched in no packaging, in a lump in my garage. Who ships a scratchable mat, with no packaging....

Chair Mat Good. Delivery Not So Good
I have purchased chair mats from Staples in the past. The quality of the current chair mat is as good as a in the past. Great product at a good price.

2-Had to be delivered flat not rolled
3-NO GLASS
4-Thicker than 1”
5-Good reviews ( not perfect but better than 3.5)

Got strung along and dumped
I ordered an office chair floor mat and was notified that delivery would be next day. For the next five business days, I recievd notification that the delivery was delayed and it would be delivered the next day. I was being patient. On the fifith day of no delivery, I was notifed my order was cancelled and I would get a refund.

Average Chair Mat
While this appears this will do the job, the material is not terribly thick or sturdy. Even on very little carpeting, the mat gets sunken in from sitting in the chair and I'm not a huge guy.

Carpet chair mat
Great product but It arrived filthy! Had no protective package and had dirty footprints on the surface. Wiped the surface down, put down on my carpet to find the warehouse soot embedded on the bottom was now all over my carpet. Had to wash the carpet, then take the mat into the tub/shower and scrub it before using.

This mat is good, but it came shipped without any packaging. Consequently it was difficult to handle after it was delivered, and it inflicted minor wounds on me as I tried to move it to my apartment. Works well on my berber type carpet with a pad.
It is much heavier than the previous one that broke up because my carpet was more than 1/4". Unfortunately the store I bought that one from did not identify the the carpet thickness so it failed. I have high hopes this one lasts a lot longer.

MAT IS GREAT/ HOW IT WAS DELIVERED WAS NOT
I gave the mat 5 stars because it is a great mat, but it was delivered folded in half and turned into almost a hard plastic that would not unfold. We had to leave it in the heat for a week in the back of our work van for it to be useable.

Do not purchase this mat, it is not what Staples indicates. After setting in the chair on the mat you can not move the chair because the wheels have sunk into the plastic mat.
