Fabulous sharp points

Not Good
Bought this sharpener to be mounted on wall in teacher's class room. Teacher brought it back saying that handle fell off the first time she used it. Also, once you take off the main part which collects the shavings, it is very difficult to get back on.

best thing since sliced bread
mounted it up on a wall and no one can steal my prize sharpener. Works wonderfully. chops up the shavings like a boss.

Sharpens Pencils
It works great. The pencils come out very sharp and smooth. I wish there had been a mounting template to help mount it straight. I made my own template, so all is good.

Good but not great
While it puts a good sharp point on the pencil, it leaves a strip of wood extending up the lead which limits how long between sharpenings. Pencil has to be jiggled in the sharpener to stop this. Also there is no stop in it to prevent oversharpening. An entire pencil can be whittled down to a stub in seconds if not careful. It is otherwise strongly built to last a good l...

I am not impressed with this pencil sharpener.
It is virtually impossible to install this item in a manner that it will maintain its stability. Not recommended. Every other product I have purchased from Staples has been great. Just not this one.

Good Memories, Grade School to College.
There's nothing like a trip to the pencil sharpener. This one work just like the one in first grade. Five turns, then pull out for inspection. New pencils take more turns so inspect after each set of fives.

Not very good
This was to replace another sharpener. However it does not work any better than the old one. The end of the pencil has wood covering graphite. Must be pealed back to write. (Simply does not grind to the center of the pencil)

Beats electric sharpener!
Our shop has gone through many electric sharpeners. You often have to rotate your pencil to get a sharp point and then the lead ends up breaking off inside the pencil and you have to start over. Not so with this good old-fashioned sharpener! Our guys in the shop are loving the nice sharp point on the first try!

Old School is the Best
