better, but not perfect
I got this marker because regular sharpie quickly washed off of dishes in the dishwasher, unless they were plastic (especially porous materials). Apparently dishwashing detergent is so good these days that it can wash off industrial sharpie on glossy surfaces.
It can also be scratched off eventually, but I figure no permanent marker can escape that.

does what it says
I used this for my signature on canvas tote bags that I make and sell. This width of line worked better than the extra fine, although I would have liked one inbetween. I tested it under water, did not smear.

I would buy this product again
One of my best uses for this is to date my medical patches so I know when to change them. When using ink, it would smear and I could not read it. In an emergency situation, medical personel need to know such things in a hurry. This marker is perfect for this use and has certainly made life easier.
