I actually was going to buy the wrong item and one of the staff saw me and asked if i needed help. When I explained that the extension was to bring the phone next to where an elderly person sits, who otherwise is in danger of falling, he knew exactly what I needed. I wanted an unobtrusive phone cord, - needed to connect the cable router to a phone jack and activate all the conventional phone jacks in the house. This phone cord will not work with a fax machine.
I bought this long phone cord so I could use my printers fax capacity by occasionally hooking it up to my modem's phone line. But the fax would not go through and the printers diagnostics pointed to the phone cord as the problem.

Great job
I purchased the phone cord because I moved my pc from guest bedroom to master bedroom and old cord didn’t stretch. I had already looked a couple of other places and didn’t find the length I needed. Staples had it!
