Didn't work for us
It's an attractive stapler, came as described. We received the black one, as there is no option to select either the red or the black. However the staff member that needed a more compact and portable electric stapler to use at her home office at trouble with this one jamming, as some other reviewers described. We ended up returning. Electric Stapler?
I thought I was ordering an "electric" stapler. What I got was a battery operated stapler. That wasn't in the description that I saw. It takes 6 AA batteries which I don't have on hand in the office, so I haven't been able to test it out.

This is NOT an electric stapler, it is a battery operated stapler. Electric implies a plug in model.

JAMS ALL the time
It worked fine for a few months and now everytime I use it it jams. Almost like it trying to use 2 staples at time and then I have to open it and close before I can use again.

HOME OFFICE USE
This has been a great stapler, I have used it for almost 3 years on a daily basis. As my job has increased it began to show wear and finally gave up the ghost. I am going to have to upgrade to one that can handle more sheets of paper but this is good for small jobs.

Swingline portable electric stapler
there is an other model of this that is/can/was substituted for the one you see in the picture. It is portable and requires 5 AA batteries. That was not easily spotted in the description and you can see from the description above. The sub was white and blue, made of light plastic, and not real sturdy. DO NOT BUY SUGGESTED STAPLES
THE SUGGESTED STAPLES ARE TOO BIG FOR THE STAPLER. REGUALR STAPLES WORK FINE. AND IT REQUIRES 6 BATTERIES, NOT THE 4 IN DESCRIPTION. IT IS A BIT NOISY TOO.

takes SIX AA Batteries
For this price its not worth it given it takes 6 AA batteries. We thought this was a plug in stapler and we will be returning this item.
