short lived
This cartridge felt empty when I put it in the printer. It only lasted two weeks for no more than 500 copies...supposed to print 2,500 copies.
The magenta cartridge is leaving a red stripe down the right hand side of paper.

I love my lexmark printer and these ink cartridges. This printer has outlasted several other printers i have owned and it is a real workhorse. I do a lot of high volume printing on specialty paper....labels and ncr....these ink cartridges are small and yet long lasting with great color output

Lexmark C540 Black High Yield Cartridge
The high yield cartridge is a great buy if you do a lot of printing. Its yield is excellent and the quality is great.
The return program also helps with containing costs as you are rewarded with free cartridges after returning the requisite number.
I use high yield cartridges for every color and have not had one problem in the past 4 years.

I never have any problems with any Lexmark C540 High Yield Toner cartridges. Just install and forget about it. And, I actually think they print more than 2500 (two thousand five hundred) pages. The results are always crystal clear, even when the alert says that the toner is low. And when the alert comes on saying that the toner is low, the cartridge still lasts quite a ...

Too expensive to operate
If you do a lot of printing, this is not a good one to use. I am spending $200 a month on cartridges.
