A Clarification...
For all those purchasing 920XL color ink cartridges (cyan, magenta, yellow), know that the dimensions of them are exactly the same as those of the regular 920 color ink cartridges. There is simply more ink in the cartridges!

920 ink and 6500 printer
Terrible ink performance and incorrect out of ink prompts. You may get 30 prints and then the out of ink message comes on, but you will get another 200 prints so just ignore the prompt

Don’t waste money on hp 920 cartridge
The model hp printer which used this cartridge will also accommodate non-hp cartridges which can leak and ruin print heads permanently. I tried soaking the print head to remove excess ink, but too late: the driver for the black cartridge already failed, and the printer will become recycle fodder next year.

My 7500 continues to produce copies but I don’t recall getting anywhere near 420 pages

Very dissapointed
Ordered this single ink replacement , installed it into my printer and the printing quality is terrible. Just a few streaks. This appears to be very old and dried up as the old and dried up old one I’m replacing.

Be careful with size
I bought this regular sized black ink cartridge thinking that the black ink was the same size as the color cartridges. The Staples website told me that it was compatible with my HP printer. Hi Fred,
I am sorry to hear you not getting the results you expected from this ink cartridge. I have a few ideas to prevent the ink from drying out.
• Print designs with lots of colors can cause the ink to run out sooner than expected. Posters, images, and thick paper can cause the ink to dry out quicker.
• It is recommended to use black ink, when possible, to maximize color ink cartridges.
• Turning your printer off or using sleep mode in between prints saves ink from air exposure.
• Lastly, viewing the document in a draft mode or print preview can save printing unnecessary copies.
Hope these suggestions help you have optimal use of the printer ink.

Printing capacity?
The cartridges work perfectly well in our printer. However, the claimed number of printed pages seems to us to be completely wrong. We're retired and only print things like family letters, utility bills and such. NO work products on a daily basis. None of the cartridges - my impression - print anything near the website's claims.

Old Ink Cartridge
Disappointed. Had issue like this from local retailers; that is why finally decided to direct to the source--HP. The ink is only good for couple months.
This should be replaced with "fresh" cartridge in my opinion; especially for the cost.

Purchasing Ink for my HP printer.
Happy to get it real quick, but find that the ink is not as dark black, seems light black.
