Polycarbonate, not vinyl
That makes all the difference. Your chair won't sink into this mat like it will with a vinyl mat. I've had a polycarbonate mat I've used for 20 years before I bought this replacement. It will probably last another 20 years.

Absolute Junk
This mat lasted 2 weeks before it began breaking into pieces. It was pure junk.

Large and durable
It's hard to find a large enough chair mat for odd locations. This one is large, easy to trim and so far seems very durable.

Cracks and moves a lot
Purchased because I liked the long length. The cleats on the bottom are rounded so the mat does not nestle into carpet but rests more on top of the carpet. I just sat down one day (about 5 months after purchase) and a loud crack resulted in a 6" break. When I purchased this product the description was for medium pile carpet - which I have. Size is very importand to me so that I stay on the mat when rolling in chair from one to the other without going onto carpet.
