Polycarbonate, not vinyl
That makes all the difference. Your chair won't sink into this mat like it will with a vinyl mat. I've had a polycarbonate mat I've used for 20 years before I bought this replacement. It will probably last another 20 years.

This mat lasted 2 weeks before it began breaking into pieces. It was pure junk.

Pretty Slick
Installation was somewhat complicated, entirely due to weight of a desk. Once that was overcome, managing the mat was a breeze. So far, so good.

Mat cracked in two places
At first, loved it, after buying 2 pieces of basically junk it was great. But after about 30 days I sat down to start working and heard a loud snap. The mat had cracked. Ok chair mat
Chairs roll easily and don't make dents, but the mat does not stay in place. It slides around on the carpet daily as the chair moves.

Exactly what I was looking for!
Large and sturdy. The chair casters DO NOT sink into it, and roll with ease. This was definitely a difficult find as all others as soft and useless. So I'm glad I did my research to find this mat, of which I had once before with another employer. Thus my relentless search.
