We are very disappointed in this board. The shaded areas and lines are not permanent. The first time we went to erase the dry erase section, the shaded area erased. The shaded parts are made up of what looks like tiny plastic dots adhered to the board. These tiny dots move all over the place! It's terrible! When you slide the magnets, the tiny dots scrape off.

This board hangs sturdy. Easy install instructions with exact measurements made it easy to hang. Dry erase capabilities help keep our employees informed of who is and is not here. You cannot erase.
The personnel board can only be written on on the white squares. All other places of the board cannot be written on with the dry erase marker as it becomes permanent. There was no warning of that on any websites that sell the product, including this one.

Update on warped board
I called the Quartet company, and by submitting proof of purchase information, they are going to replace our warped board. I'm willing to give that a try as I like the board.

Board warped
We have had this board for two years. Liked it very much until this last month, when it bowed/warped while hanging on the wall. Not just a little, but a huge bulge developed and the lower left corner is now jutting 1 1/4 inches from the wall. It is mounted at the top. Will be contacting the Quartet company next.

I was afraid because of one of the negative reviews it might not work for our office. It is very sturdy and we have not had a problem with the permanent lines or shading coming off or staining. Great product!
We use this for our in and out board at work. We only use the magnetic part. (not the dry erase). This product is made with excellent quality! I think we have used it for over 10 years and it is still like new. I am ordering another one due to hiring more employees.
