Perfect
I had one like it before but allowed the batteries to go bad so l am happy to replace exactly the same pencil sharpner. It's neat and does an excellent job. Definitely would recommend it.

Ho Hum
The hard plastic clips that fasten the battery compartment cover are going to break off, the batteries don’t easily slip into the compartment, and you have to forcfully slide the cover over the top of them, weakening the clips

does not work
Firstly, it's hard to get the battery cover back in place once the batteries are inserted. feels like you'd crack the plastic by forcing it. Secondly, it doesn't even work. It kept breaking the lead off the pencil so it never got sharpened. I've submitted a return request.

Battery Operated Pencil Sharpener
This pencil sharpener is terrible. It takes quite a bit of time to sharpen and the batteries ran down very fast and they were new in the machine. Returning for credit.

Great Staples Battery Pencil Sharpener
I really like this battery operated Staples Pencil Sharpener as it only take a few seconds to sharpen a pencil and it catches the excess in the storage bin. Which is easy to empty when full. A great purchase for the money.

Just what I needed
Used for colored pencils. It's compact yet not too small. It's fast. You have to grip the pencil - it's not automatic like some. But that's an advantage because you can release the pencil before it gets ground too low. Good value for the price. Here's hoping it lasts a while.

WARNING! - DO NOT BUY!
This product was DOA - three times! The first one was DOA. Quill replaced it with another one. Same result! Staples replaced the second one; same result! Highly disappointed! What a waste of time. No way to give ZERO stars!

Avoid this stapler
This stapler was so weak right out of the box that it wouldn’t even do the one thing it was intended to do…sharpen pencils. Tried several brand new batteries to no avail. I’m sure there are better options available for your cordless pencil sharpening needs.

Staples pencil sharpener
After inserting batteries, Sharpener would not work. Had difficulty removing battery cover. It doesn’t slide easily. Sharpener would not work. Took back to Staples where I bought and a very helpful young man also could not get it to work. The manager told him to swap it out for a same model. That one worked.
