Sturdy
The mailers are made of strong enough cardboard to protect the CD or DVD. They are larger than I wanted, as these are 6" rather than 4", but it was all that seemed to be available.

Peel Stick CD mailers
USPS regulations permit shipping these as envelopes, however two out of four mailings were charged about $3.00 postage vs. the standard $1.00 for an envelope over an ounce.
