note pad
We have purchased these note pads previously and really like the two column set up. it's nice that you can use one page per day and look back for a certain date since it's listed at the top of each page. I also like that some sections are lined while others are not. I would highly recommend these steno note pads!

Nice page layout but...
Very nice page layout but the cardboard backing is so thin its worthless unless sitting at a desk.

Focus Notes
This is my favorite paper to take notes on. I like the column to the left where I can write key points. I also like the space at the bottom where I can summarize. I've used both the 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 and the 8 1/2 X 11.

Great for conference use!
Need a small note pad for a Medical Conference - LOVED IT! It helped me organize seminar notes and everything else in between. The paper is good for gel pen ink. It is the right size to carry around with out it being a pain! If you are attending any science conference - you need this little note pad!

I like the side bar to the pages, it help me organize what the notes are for. It also helps if I am writing about a different topic, this lets me identify my notes.
The only negative is that the pages are a little "puffy". I have to press down on the pages to write and not push my pen into the paper / ripping it.

Good pad
I use the 8.5 x 11 and steno sized focus notes pads and always find the layout helpful. In my experience, the pads also have good perforation. Useful for projects.
