I needed a black and white laser printer that also scan and copy. It will be used infrequently so this is perfect, unlike color printers which requires all colors in addition to black to print. Not a good printer
No wifi feature so you have to plug it in to the computer — with a cable not provided! Too large and with obsolete fax feature. Like owning an antique butter churner, or printer from the 1980’s.

Great multi-function printer!
Great printer, it does everything and does it well. Makes great copies, scans into PDF so you can email documents, etc. This is my second one and the previous ones was a different model but really the same printer and it lasted about 14 years; and it was my fault that the first one broke, otherwise would probably still be using it today.

Brother laser all in one printer
I had an older model of the brother machine and it last for over twenty years. I'm very pleased with this newer version.

I have not yet set up all of the features. Waiting to set up scanning. So far, the printer, copier and faxing features are fine. Hopefully, scanning will be as well.

Not for the tech challenged
I found this machine very difficult to set up. I have spent hours and still can't get the scanner to work. Tried calling for support but they "are experiencing higher than normal calls" and there were long wait times.

Great unit
This is the perfect small office printer. Toner is cheaper and it is a work horse. However, I have to return because we need wireless and this unit doesn't offer it. I would keep it in a heartbeat if it had wireless capabilities.

This is an older model. I use a Macbook Air running OS 10.15.1. I bought the MFC-7240 to use at a location away from home.
