Excellent projector 4K projector
Excellent projector, I especially love 3D content on this projector. It looks stunning. The picture quality in a naturally lit room is extremely good. 4K is superb for the price, and input lag is very low, so, it is great for gaming as well.

I purchased the EPSON 3800 a few months ago, but it comes with built-in SCMS-T (Serial Copy Management System-Transfer) protection, making it incompatible with most of my home theater systems. Connecting it to my Bose 700 soundbar has been extremely difficult. I wouldn't recommend this product.

3800 projector
Picture is very clear and colorful. It doesnāt look like my flat screen tv. In order to get that kind picture, I think i would have to spend more. I wish i could afford the LS 11000 or 12000. I sure those pictures would be insane. Nonetheless, the 3800 fit my budget, the bulbs are more affordable than some of the others. Also, it will be easy to cantact and get parts or...

3800 is a great Home projector
Iāve had an Epson powerlite Home Cinema 8350 for 12 years. The 3800 is much brighter. We can now watch with the shades open! I went back with Epson based on their quality. Itās too soon to know much more.

Great Inexpensive Alternative for streaming movies at home
We love movies and don't go to brick and mortar theaters anymore for a number of reasons. We have been using home projection for over 6 years now and our first projector of choice was Epson PowerLite 1450 which we loved. Unfortunately. it had to be replaced. After studying what is now available we went with Home Cinema 3800. It is slightly larger and heavier, but we don...

Excellent, Budget Friendly and Hybrid Projector
I brought this projector after doing quite a bit of research, I was looking for hybrid projector which is good for movies and moderate gaming. The projector doesn't disappoint, the out of box picture is very good. Does reasonably well in bright room. Only thing i can complain is missing arc functionality and you will have use two remotes if you end up using A/V Receiver...

No Difference in Picture Quality From My 3500
I just "upgraded" from the Epson 3500 (1080p) to this new Epson 3800 (4K Pro UHD). Without a doubt, the 3800 projects a beautiful picture when playing a blu ray or 4K disc. But here's the problem... when playing a blu ray or 4K disc on the Epson 3800, I don't see any difference in picture resolution between the two. None. And I'm not happy about it, especially after jus...

Beautiful image though too bright for a basement
This is a great upgrade from my 12-year-old Panasonic. The image is beautiful.
This is a very bright projector. Far too bright for my dim basement even in eco mode. I got a Hoya ND2 lens filter to reduce the brightness. A 82mm filter is easily taped to the projector lens. The image is still beautiful -- now not as glaring.

Good but not great!
I purchased this projector about a month ago from a Authorized Dealer. The major issue I have is focusing the picture. I have the projector level and square with the wall, however as much as I try I can not achieve an uniform focus. Either the right of the image is in focus for the left side of the image is in focus. I would recommend spending the extra money on a bette...

Definitely worth the purchase. I have got this for theater setup in our game room. I was little worried whether it will work or not, because it's not really a dark room. Video output quality is great for the amount you invest in.
Worth the purchase for the game room

Incredibly well-worth it!
Beautiful picture and easy-to-navigate setup. Had to use built-in speakers until some cables arrived in the mail and those were actually way better than expected. Absolutely gorgeous picture and even on a normal painted wall (lavender), the brightness overcomes most imperfections and even the paint color. You don't need to shell out hundreds on specialized paint, you ca...

decent "4k" projector
I upgraded my epson 2045 to this 3800. The 3800 is bigger and also louder even with eco mode. The image quality seems getting better but not so obvious. It gets brighter though.

Another great projector
My wife and I bought our first projector for our everyday tv 15 years ago. It lasted for a long time and looked awesome. Me being a cheap bought an off brand that we got a couple years out of and it never looked as good then failed. I did not learn my lesson and again bought another cheap that was rated highly. Again a couple years and it was done. This time we went bac...

Overall good, I think I got a dud
So the picture quality is good, but uneven, for some reason I cannot get the image in focus. My wifey has bad vison so the "fuzzy" out of focus look gives her a headache. I will contact epson support to see what the options are. If you're wondering, the projector is square to the screen and I have played with zoom and lens shift to no avail. Super big bummer, I can tell...

Incredible, feature- rich, projector at a great value!
I have been using an Epson Powerlite Home Cinema 3020 for many years. It has been a fantastic projector for me and is still going strong with no issues during the life of the projector. I have been impressed with the Epson line of projectors, as they provide some of the best performance for the money. I was excited to now get the opportunity to try out a new Epson proje...
