Doesn't work
Followed directions. They aren't very good, but plugging a wire in is pretty straightforward. Nothing happened. Unplugged ext battery and tested with my fluke and there was no voltage. Opened up and battery was disconnected. Connected battery and then reconnected to smart1500lcdxl and set configuration to external battery=yes. No change in runtime or any indication that...

Excellent product for a critical installation
I got the OMNIVS UPS along with the BP24V battery expansion unit to support a condominium access system. That system is very important to the secure operation of the building and having these components in place to provide clean power to the system electronics as well as a reasonable length time of AC backup is very assuring. I've been exposed to Tripplite systems while...

Check wiring inside.
Inside wiring was disconnected. I had to open the cover and connect batteries inside.

The very thing I needed form my Tripp Lite UPS.
My Tripp-Lite UPS did not provide a long enough backup time (less than 10 minutes), so I added this battery pack. That solved this problem, easy peasy!

Easy to use
This battery pack is heavy, as is to be expected. It is simple to install, as it has one plug, which goes into one's UPS. I'm using an OMNIVS1500XL with it.
The runtime seems to be longer, but I haven't tested it extensively with and without the battery pack. I'm assuming it is working.
