Apple should make these adapters wires thicker or a better material. Therefore they could last longer. I noticed this is something that happens often. Because when you are moving back and forth in class, dorm, business, home or wherever you are, the wire gets stretch unintentionally and breaks. perhaps they could have some kind of sensor that "bips" when is stretched. Even more, you guys could let Apple know that was my idea.
    ;)
And if the wire is used in a Library, then could also have a sensor that switch a light into different colors to advise or warning.
If you and/ or them find my idea a fruitful thought then get back to me first to discuss the P&L and shares of this invention.

Have been promised $5 by Staples to write a review of 400 characters, so here it is: I needed a new power adapter for my Mackbook Pro 13" because my cat had chewed through it, rendering it useless. (Bad kitty) My boyfriend went to pick up this one, the Apple 60W magSafe Power Adapter for MacBook and MacBook Pro 13", but the attachment end, the magnetic part, has been redesigned. I needed the 60W MagSafe2 Power Adapter, which is more T-shaped. The local stores do not stock them, so I ordered one for in-store pickup, more than 4 business days ago, and it has not arrived. I had urgent need of the cord (thanks, kitty), so I also ordered one from an entity whose name starts and ends with the same letters as entity. The price I found was lower than Apple's mandated price and the delivery was faster. It lacks some of the logos. If you need to protect your Apple cord, you can buy a 6' length of 1/4" clear vinyl tubing from a large hardware store; carefully make a slit along the length of the tubing (I used a utility knife) and stuff the cord into the slit. It's very flexible and not at all noticeable. Apparently, cats love to chew those particular Apple cords. At $79+ per replacement, it's worth protecting the cord. Hope this helps.

While the package says that it is a match for my MacBook pro 13", it does not mate up correctly to the computer. I do want to say that I may have misread or misinterpreted the correct Mac, but as of this writing its a no go.

The old adapter wire broke. The wire is thin and, if you use it often enough, it will likely fail.

This adapter is just like the original and I hope to get 3 or 4 years use out of it.
