If you need a semi-stylish way to hold more than 1,000 CDs (I did), you'll get 2 of these units. This is knock-own furniture -- i.e. assemble-yourself particle board and veneer. I have put together several different knock-downs and this is by far the best-looking (syle-wise) I've seen in the genre. It's not fine furniture, but it's the only one I found that intelligently holds CDs, DVDs, etc. That's real glass inthe easy-sliding doors, with quality hardware.

      This item was advertised as being able to hold 576 CD's, no way. A lot of space was lost due to poor design, shelves were unusable in the described manner. CD's could only be stored upright on a few of the shelves. The construction materials were totally sub standard, the screws did not line up right and were made of such shoddy material that the heads stripped without effort. The ones I was able to drive did not correctly fit in the designated areas. Upon completion, I found it to be very shaky, lacking firm stability. This item was cheaply made and if it were not for all the effort it would take combined with my urgent need for storage, this item would have been returned express with a healthy dose of whatever my mindset was at the time. I am not a happy camper!

        This piece is very attractive from a distance because it came with quite a few scratches and imperfections. My boyfriend put it together and it took quite some time because of so many little pieces. If it didn't take him so long to put together I would have sent it back for another one. Also, when I went to clean it with a damp cloth it was leaving black spots all over the cloth, not sure if it is the stain or what. I will say it is functionable though, I can fit all my DVD's and still have room to dress it up with some candles. Just wish I would have received this in better condition. If you do purchase this just make sure you check every piece before putting it together.
