I have had these pencils before but I had never had them in these colors. I really enjoyed the classic with the clip on the end and the fine quality eraser. But I really like the nice little addition of the new colors. It makes them distinct so I can spot them far away, but they aren't bright enough to be obnoxious or unprofessional. And the colors are unique enough that it's easy to remember which pencils are yours. And of course, they are a classic that holds up to lots of note taking and lots of erasing. You can take exams with them because they are #2 and the are not round so they won't roll off the desk. This is thing commonly overlooked in mechanical pencils, but Bic remembers. I recommend this product to people who still take notes by hand and need someone reliable and a little bit cute.

I bought these for my kids to use in school and liked them for myself until I used the eraser. The leads are quality and don't 'squeak' when used. They're the kind that are 'soft' and easy to write with. The eraser however are of poor quality. They leave long remnants and resurface the paper. The eraser residue requires you to 'wipe' it off as opposed to being able to blow it off. Yuck. Even though I got them on sale, I would rather pay a little more and get a quality product from tip to tip.
