I was raised with the type of white out that is liquid and runny. If you were lucky you could write over the slowing drying hard white paste that used to be used for white out. Now with this new Bic Wite -Out it' s amazing. I can cover one letter to correct or a whole word or a whole line. I like the way that you can write over the wite out tape anytime after it is applied. They come in bright colored receptacles and it seems to go on and on and on and on. You can write over the tape with ink or marker however I have found that pencil does not work.

Before there was a backspace key, Hemmingway, Faulkner, Clemens, Dickens wrote with a fear of setting down the wrong word. Perhaps not having or reactive tape made them better writers for they had to be clear the first time committing pencil or pen to paper. Now we have corrective tape, but is our writing better for it? Debatable. We have 65 million adults with criminal records, but with the correction they have received, has society become safer or better or more morally sound? In other words, having the latest corrective technologies at our disposal is not an assurance that we will be the better for it. Mistakes remind us of our humanity. We do not live in an ideal society but can always aspire to; toward that goal the act of being attuned to the many errors of our ways will always require the proper tool to fix our many,far to human flaws. That said, this is not the best product in the world. Try the original corrective tape instead of this brand.

I know others who have used this and they said it was wonderful but I'm kind of old-fashioned. However after finding two dried-up bottles of white out in my drawer I decided to go another route. I love this product. It's not only easy but it's fast and it's dry and it doesn't muck up my copier. Unfortunately for me though I left the extra one from the two pack out on my desk and someone swiped it. When he came back to confess he said he'll never give it up and we should buy more.
