Looks promising on paper, and it is very easy to setup if you have a computer with Ethernet near your wireless router. Unfortunately, it does not stay connected and has to be restarted far too often to be considered normal reliable operation. I'd return it, but my time is worth more than the value of the device.

The longest it has stayed connected is about 5 days. If that is normal operation, Belkin and I have different definitions of what is normal.

Bought it to replace a wireless Ethernet access point, and extend coverage downstairs for the TV and and my wife's portable office devices. The router and cable modem are upstairs.

It worked best when setting it up 3 feet from the Belkin N+ wireless router. Not much of a range extender when only 3 feet away from the router. I've got an old wireless access point that is hooked to the last Ethernet cable to the router in the house. It is the access point I wanted to replace with this Belkin range extender. Sadly that old wired up access point does a better job than this dual band range extender. I can't trust the Belkin range extender, and can't replace the old access point.

It would probably be better in a small single story apartment. Not that great in a larger home.

To be fair, it could work better with a new dual band router, but I'm not being fair. I'm being honest about how it works in my current configuration. Your mileage may vary.
