Ink for inkjet printers is one of the most expensive items to purchase. If the high capacity cartridge contained 4 ounces of ink which I don't believe it does, the cost of such ink to put it in perspective would cost $800/gal. Consider a gallon of gas costs $3.50 to $4.00.
the cost of a single high yield cartridge is approx $25.00. That equates to $800/gal. A ripoff.
4oz.=$25
128oz=x [there is 128oz.in a gallon.]
Therefore, 4x = 25x128
128/4= $800/gal.

In some cases it's cheaper to buy a new printer when all the ink runs out.

You can't tell me it's more expensive to produce inkjet ink than it is to produce a gallon gasoline!
