  You can drop off your waste toner at any Staples location. Brother also offers a recycling service. Please refer to the user's guide provided with your Brother printer.

  A:
  Instructions are in the troubleshooting/routine maint part of your manual, but if you don't have that handy - it's real simple. After you receive you replacement waste toner, open the front cover of your machine. Hold the green handle of the drum unit - lift the drum up and out until it stops. Release the gray lock lever that is on the left side of the machine. Now you can completely remove the drum unit. Set aside. Now hold the green parts of the belt unit (in the machine, under where the drum unit was). Left it up and pull it out. The waste toner box is under where the belt unit was. Grab the toner box by the green handle - pull it out. Now just put in the new box, put the belt unit back and the drum unit. You're ready to go.
