Time Calculation enables you to calculate time-based fee structures, while profit margin calculation can be calculated with the touch of a few keys. Tax rates can be stored and recalled whenever needed. And finally, the P1-DHV has a built-in battery indicator to let you know when it's time to change the batteries. Took forever to get the paper loaded. Took 2 people to get it going! Also, I bought this to keep a running tab as I process my work (acctg). The calculator turns off quickly (7 mins.) and there's no way to adjust the power off timer. So, it powers off and when I power it back on, it's back at 0; I have lost a load of work, time and printing tape due to this. I'm donating this one to a school and buying a better model.

Comments about Canon® P1-DH V Printing Calculator:

Requires extra step when running calculations other than addition. I am used to entering a number and then pressing the appropriate operations key (+, -,X, etc.) to obtain the results. With this calculator I have to enter the number, then the operation, then equals (=) to get the results on all operations except addition.

I didn't have problems putting the roll of paper in at all. Had it in after about 5 minutes. If you've done this before you'll get the idea of where it goes. Once you thread it through the back it continues forward ON TOP of the 2 little sliver tabs then hit "feed" Its really not as hard as the other reviews said, I'm glad I ignored them and ordered it anyway. :)

This calculator has the taditional keyboard layout. I could not warm up to some of the non-traditional layouts where the = sign is somewhere else. I'll leave that to the next generation. Just give me what I am used to. This unit is everything you'll need for the home office. Fits nicely on my desk also.
