No matter how gently or forcefully I place the stamp on the pad, and no matter whether I place it directly on the pad or rock it back and forth, the stamp impression on paper is messy and difficult to read. I stamp several times per inking, but the impression only gets lighter, not clearer.

I used this blue stamp pad at Vacation Bible School to stamp the children's hands. We had an amusement park theme and the stamp was the park logo. It worked well but did smear some.

I bought the pad - along with a date stamper (which I returned). The pad's ink - bled through the paper - and made a mess. The date stamp was so poorly constructed - that I returned it. The numbers - across the print face (month, day, and year) - weren't of uniform height . . . . the "years" were actually lower in height - which required more than too much effort to try to get a good quality result. If you just "pushed" on the date stamp - the month and day would appear fine, but the year would be a partial printing. If you pushed harder, the year would apply, but the month and day would be "mashed" and blurry. Steer clear of the date stamps . . . . Thankfully, Staples was understanding and gave me a full refund on the date stamp . . . . very pleased with that aspect of my purchase.
