Great product, but watch your cost.

Like most people I use my printer for business and personal use. The Dell Printing Cartridges perform well, are clear, and I am generally satisfied with the overall quality and performance. A real plus is the cartridges can be purchased at Staples (it used to be you had to order them from Dell and have them delivered). The major drawback would be the cost, a cartridge for black and white copies will make the cost run between .09-.10 per page, add the cost of paper and you may find it cheaper to make a master copy and visit your local Staples, or [...]to make multiple copies.

I purchased a Dell All in One printer which I thought was a bargain at the time. It wasn't until I noticed how quickly the cartridges ran out that I realized that in the long run I would actually end up spending more money. At first I could only get replacement cartridges through Dell, which was very inconvenient. Then they started offering them at Staples, which is great. But compared to the HP printer I had for years and the low cost of the cartridges I was able to get, I would never buy a Dell again. For my HP I only had to get cartridges a couple of times a year. With the Dell, it seems like I get cartridges every other month. Plus they are expensive. I think in the long run it would be more cost effective for me to buy another HP printer. Also my HP was easier to set up with my laptap. I called Dell twice and they were not able to help me with my wireless connection so that I could print from my laptop to the Dell printer.

I received a very short life cartridge compared to all others. All the help I received was to be told to call the manufacturer. I feel the ink should have been replaced with a proper cartridge.
