I don't see anything wrong with the Epson high yield cartridges except the price, in my opinion all ink cartridges are over priced. Its the Gillette Razor syndrome. The Razor used to cost peanuts but the blades were way up there, smart business but not good for the consumer.Another thing i find with the Epson Work Force 545 printer is that it uses ink other than Black when I print in mostly Black. For instance I can't remember when I last printed in color but the Cyan cartridge was constantly being used and is now empty.\the same thing happened with the yellow cartridge.Nice Printer though. But don't download any Epson updates, they screw up your working system S.Tucker

Learned a valuable and expensive lesson about off brand ink. I always thought that it was a rip off to buy the printer branded ink so i went to the re-fill place and without fail, every printer we used them in gummed up and the print heads were ruined. From now on I will find other ways to save money in my office supplies budget!

Q:
Why are there 3 different color ink cartridges for the Epson Workforce 630 all-in-one? Why isn't there one COLOR INK CARTRIDGE? And how do you use three different cartridges? How do you know which one to use at any given time?
It is more cost effective to have individual color cartridges. If one color runs out, you will only need to replace that one color, instead of replacing a whole color cartridge. Your machine will automatically pull ink from the colors that are needed. You will not need to choose which ink cartridges to use.
