Even if you select the preferences 'text only' and 'black ink only' each and every time the printer is used the printer constantly draws color ink (I'm told it is 'gravity' fed ?) There's no way to stop it. AND there is NO WAY to use the printer at all even if just one of the color inks is empty or sometimes just low. When I replace the black cartridge I've also noticed the levels goes down dramatically in the color cartridges even though I'm not using them. It forces the owner to CONSTANTLY purchase color inks they don't use when printing, that are very expensive and don't last very long! EPSON cheats the consumer every day they own the printer! THE WORST purchase I ever made.

When I bought the printer the initial purchase price was inexpensive but that's how they get you!

The only reason I recommend product to friend is because there is NO alternative --momoply in the ink..
