So this Epson printer I bought has been the most pleasant surprise. It was easy to set up, very inexpensive, performs well, generates high quality printed output, scans well (I do a moderate amount of scanning). I mostly have good things to say about the whole experience. The one (minor) thing I might be critical about is that I can't get third-party refilled cartridges. So the item that I am reviewing here - the Epson cartridges - are fine, and reasonably priced for manufacturer cartridges. Might be nice if they could be refilled, but my source for 3rd party ink cartridges says they can't reset the chips on the cartridges that indicate ink level, so they won't sell them. But I'm happy anyway, with both the printer and the ink from Epson.

NOT 4 127 cartridges!!!

This item looks a bit misleading from the title: it is actually only 1 extra-high capacity 127 Black cartridge paired with 3 126 color cartridges. I feel that the product description doesn't state this, you just see the 127 on the packing and assume that you are getting a great combo deal, when in fact the color cartridge capacity is lower.

This is the answer to having to buy the T127 high-yield and then buying the three pack T127 color trio separately. Even though the color cartridges are not as potent, it is a perfect opportunity to buy a complete package at one time at a good price. I believe that I will start purchasing these packages for my printers this way instead of spending trying to buy the two packages separately. Even if you decide to go back to buying these cartridges individually, it is always good to have this product set aside for an emergency.
