      Not great with the plastic covers

      Doing the binding yourself is definitely cheaper than having it done at a store, but it isn't quick work. It's fiddly and manual. Also, while paper vary rarely doesn't sit properly in the machine, plastic sheets (typically used for covers) seem to slide up with surprising frequency resulting in a row of teeth along the bottom edge rather than a row of holes.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
