Comments about Fellowes Letter Size Thermal Laminating Pouches, 5 mil, 100 pack:
We use this product mainly to laminate the 65/67/110lb cover stock on our GBC bound books. We like the thickness of the 5 mil as it adds stability particularly to the 65&67 lb. So far, Fellowes has kept the 9x11.5 size whereas some of their competitors have cut the size down to an exact 8.5x11 which leaves no room for off centering. We do have this ongoing issue with the Fellowes sheets coming out of the box with defects on them. Some sheets have specs of something on them that will fall off by shaking the sheet or blowing on it. Other sheets have these marks on them...some on the edges like rollers that have marred them during the production process. Others will have these wierd blemishes in various places on the sheet. This might not sound like a big deal until laminating on dark cover stock which these spots/blemishes really show up. We usually use these blemished sheets on light cover stock unless it's so noticeable that the blemishes will even show up on white. So what we've been doing is going through each box one sheet at a time and keep the "bad" ones until we have a full box of 100. We then contact Fellowes who sends us a brand new box, then issues a call tag for the "bad" ones and we start the whole process over again!! Why do we go through all this trouble? Well, cause for a small business like ours, cost really counts and so far, we can't find a better price anywhere else. The Staples pricing on this product continues to be the best for the 5 mil thickness. And we average just enough good sheets per box to make it worth it.
I'm afraid it doesn't come with a carrier pouch. If you need additional assistance or would like to place an order, please feel free to call us at 1-800-333-3330.
