We have "outlasted" three shredders, and the shredder we now have has lasted so much longer, and I believe it is due to using this oil. DO NOT walk out of the store without this if you have a shredder. Your shredder will thank you!

the reason why your auto does not shut off is due to exessive use of the oil which builds up gunk i had the same issue whith my old shredder but it exploded and caught on fire so beware try doing this now if you have a new shredder. When you get junk mail use the envelope provided pour oil across the envelope and run it through the feeder its just like the oil sheet they sell just cheaper.
