Our company needed a fire proof cabinet to place employee files in. We purchased this one and now I hate to go into it. I looks like the cement inside is shedding which makes a dust like film all over the folders. When you open the files you have to shake them out and the dust itches my skin. I have vaccumed it on a number of occassions only for it to start again the day after.

We have had a 44" 4-drawer lateral FireKing for several years and bought the Turtle for extra file storage. The full-sized FireKing is great, but the Turtle is disappointing. The Turtle's inside drawer dimensions are skimpy due to the fireproofing material inside. One must always be sure to have the files well seated otherwise they'll scrape the white fireproofing material at the top of the drawer causing it to flake off into the drawer and files. The locking mechanism doesn't always lock...it looks locked, but when the drawers are pulled to confirm sufficient locking, they open. FireKing needs to rethink this product to be in keeping with the FireKing reputation.
