Shortly after installing the toner cartridge, pages that I was printing had a light spot (which became a blank spot!) in the middle of every document, running the length of the page. I had to pull the cartridge out, shake it back and forth, and reinsert in my printer to get it to work. I'm guessing the toner powder "settled" at some point in shipping or storing, but made me wonder how old the cartridge was to have that happen!! I have never had a problem before with HP cartridges and still believe in the product, but I will be watching for a recurrence of this issue.

I use this product for business and personal use. The print quality is acceptable. I would buy the cartridge with a higher print/page volume, however, that one costs more per page for the expected number of pages than the smaller volume cartridge. Normally with volume pricing, when one buys a product with a higher expected volume of units (in this case the number of pages), the price _per unit_ comes out lower.But this is not the case for the HP Laserjet print cartridge. The price _per unit/page_ is actually higher for the higher volume cartridge. So I buy the smaller volume cartridge and pay less per unit/page, but I go through more cartridges, and at over [$] per cartridge, that gets expensive.Does that seem right to you? It doesn't to me.
