I have been printing copious amounts of training materials and I got tired of running to[...] for a new ink cartridge every week. The HP 54 and HP 57 cartridges last so much longer and are much more cost effective.

Bought with hopes that it significantly outlasts the "21" it replaced. Expected life of the "21" sorely below expectations; we'll see about the "54". I understand how you rate cartrige life; don't know why your page length is basically 3/4's of a normal page. The jury is still out on 54's value.

    The product is very high quality, longlasting and non-smear in reference to color. It is very easy to replace. The cartridge life is long. The cost is somewhat high but most ink cartridges are. Other than that there are no other negatives that I have experienced. For example, the color is sharp and lasts for a long time on documents. As a side note, I always appreciate making purchases at Staples because of the courtesy and great help provided by the employees. I would recommend this product to others.

    The catridges are easy to replace in my printer. My biggest complaint is the cost. We have had our HP printer for several years and have spent well over a thousand dollars in cartridges. My recommendation to a friend would be to chose this cartridge over HP 21 due to cost.
