I use this paper to print my self-published comic books, and the brightness of the paper makes the contrast of the black images on white paper look really great. Plus the feel of the paper is nice and there is little bleed through (being able to see the following page's image on the current page).

The only downside to this is that it is pricey (but in my mind, still worth it) and that there is no recycled material in it. If it had at least 30% recycled content, then I would give this five stars.

I've used this paper before - and love it. It works in HP ink jet printers, lays on color very well, doesn't bleed, dries well. People often ask me about my printer (the cheapest HP ink jet you can buy) when they see the results on "normal" setting. I tell them it's the paper, not the printer. I use it when making up sheet music from Finale and MuseScore. The 32-lb weight is perfect - not too heavy, not too light. The matte surface looks like a million bucks and really shows off your work. I've also used it for printing photos on "normal," and it's fine. When I include a picture in a letter, it prevents bleed-through. It's my favorite paper and not all that expensive.

      I typically buy this paper for use in my laser printer but occasionally I have a lapse in good judgment and buy lighter weight papers or less bright papers, This paper is the gold standard for every day use in you laser printer and the reason I always come back to HP Premium Choice. With a brightness of ninety-eight, the contrast with color or black and white is extraordinary. Because of its 32-pound weight the simple touch of this fine paper makes it distinctive, This paper will surely make an impression. For a few dollars per ream more, it is well worth it.

              It does not have recycled content. However, the paper is FSC-certified. That means the paper is produced using sustainable forestry measures. Google FSC for lots of information.

              You need to be very careful-- the text on the packaging must include the word "glossy" in order for you to be assured that what you're holding is, indeed, glossy paper. Sometimes shopping can be a harried affair-- I don't know if retailers take this into account-- capitalize on it-- but nevertheless, it's up to you to assure yourself that if you want "glossy," you're getting "glossy"-- the clerk at the checkout will not be able to read your mind.
