Must be a Marketing ploy trying to trick you into thinking that replacement ink is cheap if you go the non-XL route.

When the color runs out which is fast, then I can't even make black copies until I buy a new one and then it uses the colored ink cartridge when making only black copies. I feel ripped off big time!

I have purchased the xl in the past and it did last for quite some time. This time I purchased the xl product and it lasted less than a week before I had to purchase another one. I don't know it this one had a problem with it or if it was one that was refilled and did not get the proper amount of ink. I was very disappointed because the regular 100 lasted a longer time then this one. I do like make Lexmark printer so I will continue to use it. Just think that this was a one time deal with having a problem with the ink. Loyal customer.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

      This ink is so easy to load into the printer, and it is easy to take the old cartridges out to take back to the store to recycle, as well. I only use this for my home printer , and it works well in printing off coupons and recipes from the internet for my personal use. I have used the same to print of and scan pictures and pages to copy for my class that I teach at church on Wednesday nights. My being able to print and copy at home and knowing that I can rely on this ink and this printer are a load off of my mind in getting ready for my class and not having to stand in line somewhere else to do the same work.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
