If you have folded letters to fit into envelopes, then you know it is a cumbersome task. This product does it quickly and the folds come out very even and correct. The unit works very well. I use it for just a few per week as I have such a demanding schedule. Time saving is important. I don't make money folding paper, I make it talking to people on the phone and getting orders filled. This is a very small investment with a good pay back. In a larger situation - church: it used to take us hours to fold the mailings, now it takes about 20 minutes for the same number of flyers.

I was expecting an even 1/3 fold. I did not get that on a single piece. The folds were off by 1/4" at each end I'm guessing to accomodate 3 sheet folding. I could not use this product.

Documentation should have stated that letter folds are not equal 1/3 folds.

Papers don't always feed properly. Should have a paper guide to hold the pages while feeding into the machine. Machine does make the work go faster, less hand folding.

I have had this machine for two years and am still pleased with it. I have found that after 150 or so fliers i need to give the motor a break to stop the paper from crinkling and you also have to make sure to line the paper correctly

  This three-sheet letter sized folder is for use with 8-1/2" x 11" paper, 20-24 lb. bond.
  No it does not fold legal sized paper.
  May I suggest the Staples item#421180, which is adjustable for folding 8 1/2" X 11", 8 1/2" X 14", and A4-sized documents: (8.3 x 11.7 inches).

  A standard letter fold is: top 1/3rd down and bottom 1/3rd up. Brochure tri-fold is top 1/3rd down and bottom 1/3rd under and up, similar to that of a fan fold.
