I got this because I got the new iPhone 5 and because of the new port I couldn't attach it to the three ihomes I have already, and didn't want to reward apple w another purchase. And it turned out to be a really great deal. The speaker is Super easy to set up about two minutes time and it plays clearer than any ihome I've ever had and louder than most too. I can hear it over the shower in the morning to sing along. And it seamlessly will transition between my fiancés droid and my iPhone without a hitch. Overall great great buy!!!

This is another case of you get what you pay for. The product works--it's simple to set up, minimal buttons to press, delivers okay sound. But stupidly I expected this device to produce the sound output to rival my high end stereo speakers (in a 400 sq ft room with vaulted ceilings--um, not happening). This item would be a good device in a small area, maybe a dorm room, bedroom, or similar. Not recommended for anyone who demands a higher quality sound--but then again, more discriminating shoppers wouldn't have considered this product. Wish I'd spent the money on a higher end item.

I like this speaker. It greatly enhances the puny
sound output from my laptop computer when I want to watch a movie.
I don't like the volume controls because it uses buttons instead of
a wheel (hint the volume control from your computer or smartphone,
that works much better). The only other drawback is that it must
be plugged in since it does not have a battery. That makes it less
portable when you are traveling. I have still have no trouble
packing it and using it on trips, but a battery powered option
would be very nice.

Good sound and easy to use. I was surprised how good the sound was for a unit of that size and weight.
I use it with my iphone to play music or talk shows from a shelf accross the room when my wife and I go to bed. I use the timer on the iphone to shut the iphone off after an hour or so.
The only con is that it will shut off if not used for an hour or so. You have to go to it and turn it on again.
Again, only happens when not used. That is somewehat inconvenient for me as I would like to have the bluettoth always on instead of turning the unit on every day.

  If your TV supports bluetooth and the speaker is placed within 30 feet of the TV is will work. If your TV does not support bluetooth or you want more flexibility with placement, the TV Ears TV speaker is wireless and has an IR control.

  This will operate perfectly as a wireless speaker with your Windows XP as long as your desktop computer has Bluetooth technology. If your computer does not have Bluetooth technology you can still benefit from this universal speaker by connecting the speaker to the provided wire (line-in jack), and then plugging the end of the wire into your computer's headphone jack.
