Answer this question 1 answer A: The ink pad is visible from the side of the stamp - you can see the edges (about 1/4" by 1.25") Press in on one side of the rectangle until it pops loose. Then press the stamp down just a little against a desk to relieve the pressure from the ink pad. The pad should slide out freely at that point. One is staples brand and the stamp you are asking about is from a different vendor but Marking Products says that while you should use recommended item this item should work as well.
