Excellent for storing school notebooks

This is the BEST binder to hold and store schoolwork at the end of the year. I simply pull the papers out of the three ring binders and place them in this cover. Then, I label the front with a Sharpie marker. It will hold as much or as little as necessary, and still lie flat. I've used them for years, first in college, and now for my kids, to keep past school notebooks intact. My old college notes are in as good condition as they were the day I packed them up.

These pressboard covers are getting harder to find, and I can only find one color (blue). I understand their primary use is for continuous feed computer printouts, and those printers are becoming obsolete. I hope they don't stop making these binders! I've never found anything else that will do what I want.

    Back in the day of long accordion fold computer printouts, these things were everywhere. Their best use these days is for organizing and storing records that require hard copy retention. Access is easy enough for records that only require occasional review. An added plus is the pages can be compacted to minimum thickness so that they fit great in file cabinets. For those of you who lament the lack of color options, just get some colored adhesive labels at Staples and have at it. I love these things and will probably lay in a supply because they are getting harder and harder to find. I had to order this last batch at my local Staples store.

      My older ones had a sturdy binding end. Long lasting cloth tape... These just are bent card stock.

      Would like to see prices get lower thought the store. Not just this business but others as well.

      They are pretty good, but I would like a variety of colors to aid in organizing a variety of materials. Some I have seen (but can't find now) have a fabric strip at the hinge, making them a bit easier to operate.
