Every year when it is time for my third graders to do their benchmark testing, I purchase Black Warrior pencils. I tell them that it is the best pencil that they will ever use. They are so thrilled when the testing is over because they get their own pencil. This pencil lead will not break easily, it erases wonderfully, and is a great pencil. I have purchased them for six years.

The black warrior is round;therefore it has none of the sharp angles that make your fingers and thumb cleavage sore.It has no lacquer so the natural oils from your hand are absorbed into the length. When doing scantron's their are no erasure marks. I did a population pyramid comparison between a state and one of its counties without having to resharpen. I have been using the black warrior for 4 years. The only problem I have ever encountered was finding them. I have to order them online. That other pencil that claims to be "The best pencil in the world" needs to try this product. Every person I have made aware of the black warrior prefer it now. Including die hard mechanical pencil users.

This pencil has changed since the last time I bought some. It is no longer made in the USA. The outside coating is now a matte finish instead of a glossy finish. I think the eraser is different too. Overall still a good pencil; however, I liked the way the old pencils felt in my hand better.

I found this product at my job. I was so happy with it that I had to buy this for my chilren as part of there school supplies. I would recommand this product. I have purchased many pencils in the past and as you sharp the pencils the point break off or it just won't sharp well. But with this product I don't have this problem. I do the ordering for our office and this is the only product that we use. That is why I started to order this product for my home. "it's Great"
