These are the best pencils I have used. They are smooth but not soft like a lot of other pencils. They are true to color and the pigment is so pure. I'm an art student and use these all the time. The only con is that they cost a lot of money as compared to other pencils but they are well worth it.

I wanted a nice spectrum of colors without having to purchase two hundred pencils. This assortment satisfied that need without undue expense on my part. I like the staying power of the pigments and the ability to sharpen them without grinding them down to nubs just to obtain a point. I would buy them again.

I do colored pencil paintings. They come out amzingly with Prismacolor brand products but they are probably too expensive for someone that will be using it in class projects. If not though you should try them.

I am an artist so I need the best gear I can get. I have not found a better product than this. I use them for every art project. I like that they blend well and have a wide assortment of colors. Sometimes the core of the pencil breaks and it can be annoying.
